Welcome to the official site of the Commonwealth Karate Federation
The Commonwealth Karate Federation was founded in 2003
with the key purpose of supporting the development
of the World Karate Federation objectives by seeking
the acceptance of Karate as a full sport in the
Commonwealth Games.
To be considered as a sport in the Commonwealth Games programme, it is necessary for the sport to meet specific criteria as determined by the Commonwealth Games Office. Among the criterion is the requirement to establish a fully constituted body that holds regular Commonwealth Championships.
In addition to this key objective, the Commonwealth Karate Federation aims to celebrate and further develop the cultural diversity of the commonwealth.
